Construction of 42,000sqft high-end, flexible office and laboratory accommodation as part of MEPC’s £24 million speculative development at Park Drive East, Milton Park.
Milton Park is a business park in South Oxfordshire developed and managed by MEPC. It is home to 250 companies and is one of the largest science clusters in the country.
The £24 million speculative development of Park Drive East comprises three buildings (141, 142 and 143); it delivers a total 110,000sqft laboratory, office and high-tech business space designed to reflect the British Council for Offices ‘Best Practice’.
Ridge provided a cost management and employer’s agent service which encompassed detailed quality management during the construction stages of the project.
Ridge undertook a series of cost option studies with regard the external envelope, to inform the design team of the optimum value for money solution without compromising quality or aesthetics.
As part of the tender returns process, Ridge developed a comprehensive matrix / shopping list, to give the client ultimate flexibility when deciding on the final scope of works.
