Ridge has worked on multiple projects at the world famous racecourse that have to be designed, procured and delivered within tight programmes, around race days and within budget constraints.

Ridge understands the operational issues for implementing projects within a working racecourse, along with the need to involve various stakeholders.

Projects delivered by Ridge include:

  • The On5 Restaurant, which deconstructed 14 hospitality boxes and delivered a 220-cover dining area, a new kitchen, toilets, viewing balcony and external terrace
  • Alterations to the existing Parade Ring Restaurant and Royal Viewing Area to provide a prestigious 160-cover restaurant and viewing terrace
  • Alterations to the Parade Ring to create new broadcasting camera positions
  • Alterations to the concourse including glazing, bars, Tote outlets
  • Crowd alleviation works; improvements to the main entrance and turnstiles
  • New glass wind breaks
  • Procurement and project management of a substantial programme to refurbish all the hospitality boxes
  • Design, procurement and project management of the installation of two external escalators
  • M&E Asset surveys of the entire estate
