Deanston WharfLondon

Deanston Wharf in the London Borough of Newham comprises nearly 800 residential units and over 1,000sqm of commercial space across ten medium-rise blocks.

Ridge is providing BIM Management services including Coordination and Information Management as a direct appointment to the client, Ballymore. Through our work on other schemes for the same client, we ensure that the approach and delivery processes for each design team is consistently aligned with the client’s strategic objectives.

Approach
Initial activities include agreeing the principles and processes with the design team by compiling the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), which is aligned with the contents of the Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR). Key activities during the project include hosting BIM Workshops to feedback results from federating, reviewing, and performing clash detection on the design team models. Ridge is also supporting the team in the development and collation of data deliverables (COBie) through these forums.

Results
Through our experience of developing similar requirements for a much larger scheme for the same client, Ridge was able to drive a consistent approach to BIM across multiple schemes. This reduced risk and improved quality through a combination of enhanced coordination and collaboration ahead of major milestones and maintaining consistent deliverables.
