A large pharmaceutical company appointed Ridge to provide services to their new office fit-out.
When Ridge was appointed, the client had already obtained budget quotations from design and build fit-out contractors, but needed assistance to move the project forward.
The first task was to review the submissions from the fit-out contractors and provide cost, design, technical and delivery advice on the submissions. This resulted in interviewing the shortlist of contractors.
Following identification of the preferred contractor, Ridge facilitated various design workshops to refine the design and manage the costs; this ultimately led to the appointment of the contractor on a fixed lump sum contract. The contract also included the design and installation of all furniture, which had to comply with the client’s global design standards.
The works had to be completed within a tight 11-week programme including having to address various issues relating to the landlord plant and equipment; this required Ridge to liaise and negotiate with the landlord and asset managers.
During the project Ridge, promoted a very collaborative approach to the design, procurement and delivery, resulting in a project that was successfully completed within the tight programme and to an excellent standard of quality.
