Design Services for a Reserved Matters Application for a new business park near Cirencester.
The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) invited tenders via the CCS Framework in order to proceed with a Reserved Matters Application (RMA) for a new business park on part of their campus land in Cirencester. Ridge was appointed to design and develop a full proposal for submission to Cotswold District Council.
The proposed development provides a total building area of 22,000m2 with facilities for education, research, conference, business, collaborative working and office space.
The Ridge Transport team, having liaised with the local Highway Authority, proposed a four-arm roundabout on Tetbury Road as the main access to the site, with provision for cyclists and pedestrians. The roundabout also facilitates access to land on the opposite side of the road and will be part of a Section 278 Agreement. Ridge also designed a Toucan crossing, pedestrian footways, bus layby, bus shelter, tracking for fire appliances, public transport and refuse vehicle, and feasibility for access and layout of the internal road network.
