On Wednesday 16th November, and as part of a Ridge initiative which gives all staff three paid volunteering days every year, a team of 11 from our London office spent a day at the Crisis Charity’s warehouse in Canning Town.
Every year Crisis at Christmas opens its doors to people who are facing homelessness at Christmas and the team spent the day helping with the preparations. This included organising and sorting stock on the warehouse floor and building office space for Christmas staff and volunteer teams.
Laura Whittal, Team Secretary at the London Office said:
“We worked hard, but it was a good fun day, and we would all certainly do it again next year.”
Ridge is also currently providing multidisciplinary design and property consultancy services to Crisis across three locations in London including its Canning Town Warehouse, Universal House and 50 Commercial Street.
Matt McGettigan, Associate leading provision of Ridge services to Crisis said:
“Crisis is an important client for Ridge London and we were delighted to be able to help support organising Crisis at Christmas, which is such a worthwhile cause.”
