Ridge Winchester shortlisted for four national RESI Awards

28 March 2022

Ridge is delighted that two projects by our Winchester office, Bradbury View and Burrell House, have been shortlisted for the 2022 RESI Awards.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 11 May 2022.
The nominations are:

Bradbury View:
• Development of the Year
• Social Impact Initiative – Residential
• Health and Wellbeing Initiative – Residential

Burrell House
• Social Impact Initiative – Residential

Both projects, each providing a valuable social impact for Winchester, have recently also been shortlisted for 2022 Constructing Excellence SEBCE Awards.

Bradbury View is a welcoming residential extension to Winchester charity Trinity’s day centre, creating much-needed apartments and communal facilities to help vulnerable people transition from homelessness. The sustainable, psychologically informed design provides a supportive environment to help transform lives. The wellbeing-friendly accommodation supplements Trinity’s programme of activities, therapies and treatment. The project team worked collaboratively to ensure the delivery of a high-quality building suitable for the complex requirements of Trinity and its residents.

Completed in September 2021, the Burrell House project involved the stabilisation and refurbishment of a derelict and unsafe Victorian residential building in the grounds of the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, to form the new Winchester Hospice, providing compassionate, specialist care for up to 10 inpatient residents. There was no dedicated hospice in Winchester before this project completed; Burrell House provides a well-equipped and pleasant environment locally for people who live around Winchester, easing the burden on residents and their loved ones.

Congratulations to our Winchester office and to our clients and partners on these two important projects, for these well-deserved nominations.
