The awards ceremony took place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 30 June 2022.
The judges highlighted that “this project demonstrated, in both the written submission and presentation, the application of all the key criteria in the category. Trinity said they could see their future rising before their eyes, and post-occupancy feedback is a huge testament to the commitment of everyone involved.”
Bradbury View, for which Ridge acted as M&E Consultant, client-side, as well as Employer’s Agent, is a welcoming residential extension to the homelessness charity’s day centre, creating much-needed apartments and communal facilities to help vulnerable people transition from homelessness. The sustainable, psychologically informed design provides a supportive environment to help transform lives. The wellbeing-friendly accommodation supplements Trinity’s programme of activities, therapies and treatment. The project team worked collaboratively to ensure the delivery of a high-quality building suitable for the complex requirements of Trinity and its residents.
Bradbury View recently won a national RESI Award in the “Health and Wellbeing – Residential” category, and also won the RICS South-East “Community Benefit” Award, with the judges noting how
“The team (Ridge, client Trinity Winchester, architect Hyphen and contractor Bentley Projects) worked collaboratively to overcome challenging site conditions and to adopt a less wasteful, faster modern method of construction.”
In a bumper year for award nominations, Bradbury View was one of five Ridge finalists at the SECBE Awards:
Building Project of the Year over £10 million
Conservation & Regeneration
Net Zero
Residential Project of the Year
Congratulations to our Winchester office, Trinity and the Bradbury View team on this fully deserved award, and well done to our clients and partners on all these great projects for being shortlisted as finalists.
