In this video, learn more about our award-winning delivery of the Bramhall Park to A6 cycle and walkway scheme in Stockport.

The £7 million pound project is the largest segregated cycle route in Stockport and forms part of the Greater Manchester ‘Bee Network’. The 4.1km route was delivered with Stockport Council and was designed to boost local walking and cycling journeys. It also offers cyclists a new, safer path that better protects them from vehicle traffic.

The new route helps to connect local communities, creating a sustainable link to local schools, shops, leisure facilities, workplaces, and public transport. It also saw the addition of over 100 new trees to enhance biodiversity and create a green streetscape. Working alongside Stockport Council and its contractor George Cox & Sons, we provided Project and Programme Management on the scheme.

In October, the scheme was crowned ‘Active Travel Scheme of the Year’ award at the 2022 Highways Awards.
