THE ASPIRATION
Turning an industrial shell into a racing powerhouse
Hitech Grand Prix set out to create a new home that reflected their ambition within the world of Formula 2, 3 and 4. Operating from units at Silverstone, the team needed a headquarters that could unite their people, operations and performance under one roof. The goal was to transform a blank industrial unit into a bespoke facility – combining engineering excellence, logistics efficiency and team culture – to match the pace and professionalism of top-tier motorsport.
OUR RESPONSE
Engineering performance from the ground up
Ridge provided full multidisciplinary services, including Project Management, Architecture, Civil and Structural Engineering, MEP, Sustainability, Cost Management, Health and Safety, and Town and Country Planning. Working closely with Hitech’s owner, facilities team and senior engineers, we developed a layout driven by function and flow, ensuring every space supported performance on and off the track.
The transformation included new office spaces, simulators, a gym, R&D lab, staff canteen and precision workshops. We built a new split-level first floor within the existing warehouse, maximising usable space and maintaining headroom for operations below. The project’s biggest challenge was speed, with a handover aligned to the motorsport shutdown. Despite the tight programme and the constraints of working within an existing structure, the team delivered a facility of exceptional quality and functionality.

The completed headquarters sets a new benchmark for F2, F3 and F4 teams and is a facility that combines efficiency, comfort and high performance. Every element, from the flow of the workshops to the integration of team amenities, has been engineered to world-class standards.

The new facility brings F1-level precision to the junior racing categories, supporting Hitech’s growth and competitiveness on the global stage. It demonstrates how intelligent design and close collaboration can turn an industrial shell into a high-performance home for motorsport innovation.
