Ridge was appointed to project manage McDonald’s ‘Experience of the Future’ rollout nationwide.
The ‘Experience of the Future’ roll-out programme is the most ambitious ever undertaken by the client. It commenced in 2015 and ran up to 2019, refurbishing and updating all 1,200 restaurants throughout the UK and Ireland.
Ridge was employed as Project Managers on approximately 90 projects per annum to support the client’s internal project management team.
The role involved the management of the full life-cycle of the project from agreement of the brief with the end user, through the design development process, to delivery of the project during the construction phase
New initiatives delivered through this rollout included building extensions (to increase seating capacity), installation of dual drive-thru lanes, creation of new kitchen platforms, installation of self-order kiosks and the introduction of digital merchandising.
In 2017, Ridge was awarded the McDonald’s ‘Consultant of The Year’ award, reflecting the role we have played in the programme.
