Construction of a new lifeboat station at Selsey to house two vessels and associated crew accommodation.
The project was wholly funded by donations and legacies received by the RNLI, and was designed and constructed with this in mind. It included all demolition works on site, external hardstandings, drainage and service installations.
The new build lifeboat station houses a new all-weather Shannon-class lifeboat and an inshore D-class lifeboat
Ridge provided full quantity surveying services for the project from initial concept to completion. Initial cost advice was essential to establish the RNLI’s budget and appraisal from the scheme. Cost management, tender and contract services were also provided to successfully deliver the scheme within budget.
