Ridge has been working at The National Gallery since 1994 on numerous projects including exhibitions, maintenance and major projects.
The Grade I listed buildings were completed in 1910 and occupy the north side of Trafalgar Square.
Ridge has been working with the gallery to maintain and improve the facilities under a framework agreement.
To date, the scope of works includes:
- Gallery refurbishments over a phased programme
- Re-roofing, replacement of existing patent glazed rooflights to galleries with internal laylights and new sunscreen installation
- Upgrading of conference facilities and displays, creating function rooms
- Upgrade of CCTV and security provisions
- Provision of accommodation for in-house contractors, releasing existing space for future development
Installation of new chillers for the Education Block and including an acoustic roof enclosure.
