Stephen has a proven reputation within the construction consultancy sector and a solid track record of developing a consultancy business within the Midlands and wider UK Regions.

Chartered Building Services Engineer (MIET) and Fellow of Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (FIHEEM) with 35 years’ experience.
Ian is a member of the Institute of Engineering Technology and Fellow of the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management.
His experience spans multiple industry sectors. He has a pragmatic approach to problem solving, establishing best value whilst optimising benefits for clients. He thrives in working in collaborative environments and adds significant value to any team.

Nathan brings over 27 years of property and construction expertise and leads our Project Management team in Bristol, as well as being the Bristol office Managing Partner.
His vast Project Management experience spans most sectors, including research, design and development, high-tech, commercial end user, commercial developer, health, education, central and local government, and defence.
He has worked as part of global teams and is an experienced leader, having co-managed a team of 26 Project Managers for one of the largest Project Management consultancies in the South West.
Nathan is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Association for Project Management (APM) and is a committee member for the Forum for the Built Environment (FBE).

Keir leads the Project Management team within the Ridge Cambridge Office. With over 20 years’ experience in the education, residential and commercial sector, he has built a strong reputation in delivering complex & constrained schemes to a high level of design and build quality, including those to a Passivhaus & Carbon Zero standard.
Keir’s people-focused approach drives quality from the project team, working collaboratively as a cohesive unit, which is a key factor in delivering successful projects. He is highly approachable, communicative and responsive, whilst also possessing a high level of technical knowledge.
Keir comes from a family of builders and has physically built two of his own houses, which, when complimented by his qualification as an MRICS chartered building surveyor, provides a great double-edged sword of ‘people skills’ and ‘on the tools’ technical knowledge. This aids the process through design and construction on all of Keir’s projects.

Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with 30 years’ experience.
Richard is a Partner responsible for the management of Building Surveying Oxford, Health and Safety and Geo-Spatial teams at Ridge. He has extensive Property Management, Project Management and Lead Consultant experience within construction.
Richard has been the Framework Manager for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office / Crown Global Services and UKAEA providing senior contact for a wide scope of construction and property management. He brings over a decade of senior management experience.

Andrew McNaghten is a seasoned project management professional with extensive experience across commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors.
Based in Ridge’s Leeds office, he has led the delivery of complex, high-profile schemes including the University of York’s Institute for Safe Autonomy, Nottingham’s Barnum Build-to-Rent development, and Birkenhead town centre regeneration.
Andrew brings a strong track record in expanding service lines and driving strategic growth. His expertise spans modern methods of construction, data-driven delivery, and low-carbon solutions, helping clients meet evolving ESG requirements. With a focus on sustainability and digital transformation, Andrew ensures Ridge remains at the forefront of innovation in the built environment.

Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) and Certified Member of the Association of Project Safety (CMAPS) with 28 years’ experience.
Grant is an expert in building surveying, design, health and safety and project management. He has buit up a wide range of experience across several sectors including manufacturing, education and housing. His particular specialism includes technical due diligence surveys and advice on hotels, student accommodation and partially completed developments.

Lara is a Building Surveying Partner and the Managing Partner for our London office.
She is a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) with over 15 years’ experience in the property and construction industry, both in the public and private sectors.
She is a specialist in building surveying and project management services across a range of sectors including education, local and central government, housing, insurance, healthcare, hotels, commercial, emergency services and the leisure sector. Lara is also qualified in accessibility and inclusive design.
Lara is a member of the BS Discipline Group, Education Sector Group and Public Buildings Sector Group.

Throughout his career, Mark has grown and led high performing and diverse teams who have built strong and long lasting client relationships resulting in repeat work.

Paul Heron has joined Ridge as Head of the Newcastle office, leading the firm’s strategic expansion across the North East. A Chartered Building Surveyor with over 25 years of experience, Paul brings extensive expertise in the delivery of capital works programmes within the public sector, with a particular focus on healthcare, education, and emergency services. Prior to joining Ridge, he served as Senior Director at Gleeds.
Throughout his career, Paul has demonstrated a strong commitment to building high-performing teams and fostering professional development—areas he regards as the most fulfilling aspects of his work. His appointment represents a significant step in Ridge’s ongoing national growth and reinforces the firm’s ambitions within the region.

Tim is highly experienced in managing large project teams with a wide variety of stakeholders. His client-focused approach, enthusiasm and drive, combined with his extensive experience, ensures projects are driven to a successful completion.

Chartered Quantity Surveyor, BSc (Hons), MRICS, with over 30 years’ experience in the property and construction industry, 20 years of which are with Ridge.
Simon is responsible for the Commercial Cost Management Team from the Reading office, and is focused on building client and consultant relationships across the industry.
Simon has a wide variety of experience and provides a broad level of construction advice in the commercial, industrial, residential, leisure and finance sectors.
He has a passion for problem solving and the delivery of projects and provides Project Management, Employer’s Agent, Contract Administration, Cost Management and Development Monitoring services as well as being a key member of the Commercial Sector Group.

Chartered Quantity Surveyor (BSc (Hons), MSc, MRICS) with 25 years’ experience.
David has wide ranging sector experience and regular advises clients on all cost management matters including procurement, contractor and consultant appointments, warranties / step-in rights, insurances and capital allowances.
He offers expertise in advising clients on contract forms to suit their risk profile and project objectives including JCT and NEC forms as well as bespoke JV arrangements. David is also experienced in providing expert advisory and expert witness services. David is Office Managing Partner for our Winchester office.
