Gary Robinson

Gary is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Chartered Structural Engineer with more than 17 years’ experience designing and assessing buildings across the commercial, industrial, education, leisure and residential sectors. His knowledge of steel, timber, concrete and masonry gives him a broad understanding of how different construction materials perform in practice.

Alongside his project work, Gary holds an Engineering Doctorate and has contributed extensively to industry research. His work has been published in leading engineering journals and has helped shape guidance used across the profession, including publications from the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) and The Concrete Centre.

Gary is passionate about sharing knowledge and developing future engineers. He is a guest lecturer at Loughborough University, teaching the design of concrete and masonry structures, and has supervised research projects through to doctoral level. He has also supported doctoral examinations as an industry expert.

Throughout his career, Gary has worked on projects across the UK and internationally, including high-rise developments and the refurbishment of historic buildings. He has successfully delivered award-winning structural projects involving listed Grade II and Grade II* buildings, helping preserve their character while ensuring they continue to meet modern needs.
