Phillip Ankers joins our Bristol office as Partner where he’ll be heading up the regional project management team.
Phillip brings nearly 20 years of experience across the real estate and construction sectors – beginning his career as a chartered building surveyor before finding his natural home in project management.

That dual qualification still serves him well, giving him an understanding of buildings that informs his work at every stage of a project’s lifecycle.
His career has taken him from Building Surveyor at JLL’s London office to Senior Project Manager in their Singapore operation, before returning to the UK via Deloitte Real Estate, AECOM (where he spent six years as Director of the Bristol project management team), and most recently Rapleys LLP, where he established and led their Project and Cost Management services nationally. Along the way he has delivered projects ranging from a BCO Award-winning office fit-out for PWC in Bristol, to a £300m university campus, to a complex assisted living scheme in central Bath, to Amazon’s UK-wide EV transport hub rollout. His experience spans education, residential, logistics, mixed-use development and more – with a particular lean towards brownfield regeneration.
The Bristol and South West market has always been close to Phillip’s heart, and the chance to put down deeper roots here was a significant draw.

His focus at Ridge will be to build on the strong regional foundations already in place, supporting the Bristol project management team across live projects while developing a pipeline of new opportunities to sustain and fuel the next phase of growth. It’s familiar territory: from opening Pulse Consult’s South West office during the pandemic to building Rapleys‘ national project management offer from scratch, Phillip has form in growing teams and creating something from the ground up.
