Structural engineering
Hitech Grand Prix set out to transform a blank industrial unit at Silverstone into a purpose‑built headquarters – a facility uniting people, operations and performance across Formula 2, 3 and 4.
We provided full interdisciplinary support, including project management, architecture, civil and structural engineering, MEP, sustainability, cost management, health and safety and town and country planning.
Engineering performance from the ground up
Working closely with Hitech’s owner, facilities team and senior engineers, we developed a layout shaped around function and flow, making sure every space supported performance on and off the track.
The transformation introduced new office spaces, simulators, a gym, a research and development lab, a staff canteen and precision workshops. We also built a new split-level first floor within the existing warehouse shell, maximising usable space while keeping the headroom needed for operations below. Speed was the biggest challenge: handover had to align with the motorsport shutdown. Despite the pressure – and the constraints of adapting an existing structure – the team delivered a facility built to exceptional quality and purpose.
A best-in-class motorsport base
The completed headquarters sets a new benchmark for teams in F2, F3 and F4, combining efficiency, comfort and high-performance engineering. Every element, from the flow of the workshops to the integration of team amenities, has been designed to the standard expected at the top of motorsport.
Raising the bar beyond Formula 1
The new facility brings F1-level precision to the junior racing categories, supporting Hitech’s growth and competitiveness on the global stage. It shows how intelligent design and close collaboration can turn an industrial shell into a high-performance home for motorsport innovation, built for speed, teamwork and the next generation of racing talent.
