Detailed track design

We are recognised globally for the precision and rigour of our detailed track work. Our specialists understand the safety and regulatory requirements of the FIA, FIM and CIK – and we work closely with local designers and engineers throughout, from first drawings to the completion of construction.

• Track grading and earthworks

  Race tracks and driving courses demand high-performance civil engineering. Elevation changes, cross falls and gradient tolerances are all governed by strict regulatory parameters, and by the vehicles that will use the circuit. We use in-house software to model and validate every gradient, ensuring the finished track performs to the required standard.

• Safety installations

  We prepare detailed engineering specifications for the full range of specialist safety infrastructure: kerbs, debris fencing, barriers, lighting, control systems and drainage. Working closely with recognised industry suppliers, we ensure every solution meets current standards and is straightforward to implement on site.

• Drainage

  Drainage is one of the most consequential elements of any circuit, and one of the most frequently underestimated. Using in-house hydraulic modelling software, we calculate water flow across the full track surface and position drainage structures accordingly.

• Specialist track surfacing

  The right surface makes the difference between a good circuit and a great one. We provide expert specification and materials guidance across all paving and surfacing requirements – and stay involved through to construction. Working alongside contractors, authorities and governing bodies we ensure the finished surface performs as specified.
