Ian is a chartered building services engineer with over 35 years' experience, leading our Birmingham office and bringing broad multi-sector expertise, particularly in education and healthcare. His healthcare portfolio spans acute care, primary care and mental health, delivering compliant designs to HTM, HBN and technical memorandum standards across new build, refurbishment and redevelopment projects. Ian is currently leading the midlands region alliance with the CF25 contractors building the next phase of government school projects. Known for his pragmatic and considered approach, Ian constructively challenges designs to enhance outcomes without introducing unnecessary cost or risk. He is passionate about right‑first‑time solutions, balancing capital and operational cost goals to deliver the best value for clients. He holds CEng, MIET and FIHEEM qualifications.
