Madras International Circuit wanted to create a karting venue that could put Indian grassroots motorsport on the world stage.

The ambition was a circuit built to FIA-CIK standards, designed for competitive racing and future international events.

Creating a world-class karting venue

The new circuit needed to balance technical performance with the practical realities of certification, construction and day-to-day operation within a live motorsport environment.

We provided civil engineering and race track design services, supporting delivery of the FIA-CIK-certified facility near Chennai. The 1.2km, 12-turn layout combines fast straights with flowing corners and tighter technical sections, creating opportunities for overtaking and close racing throughout the lap.

Our team worked closely with design, construction and certification teams to maintain compliance at every stage, while ensuring the circuit integrates seamlessly with the wider Madras International Circuit complex.

Supporting a smoother route to certification

Meeting FIA-CIK requirements demanded careful coordination and quick decision-making throughout delivery.

We worked closely with stakeholders to resolve issues on site and reduce the risk of delays during key construction and inspection stages. By addressing compliance early, the project avoided unnecessary rework and moved smoothly towards completion.

Raising the profile of grassroots motorsport

The completed circuit gives India its first FIA-CIK certified karting venue, creating new opportunities for drivers, teams and international competition.

This is a facility designed not just for racing today, but for developing future talent and strengthening the country’s motorsport ambitions for years to come.
