Motorsports Gateway Howell in Michigan, United States, set out to create a destination where driving, lifestyle and automotive culture come together in one place.

The challenge was designing a high-performance circuit that felt fully connected to the wider development and landscape.

Designing around the landscape

The circuit aims to deliver a rewarding driving experience while fitting naturally into the surrounding woodland environment.

We are providing architecture, civil engineering, visualisation, masterplanning and race track design services across the 273-acre site. Inspired by traditional European race circuits, the track design uses flowing geometry and natural elevation changes to create a more engaging and varied experience behind the wheel.

At the same time, careful coordination with the wider masterplan ensures the circuit works comfortably alongside residential, leisure and innovation spaces.

Creating more than a race circuit

The wider development brings together track driving with spaces designed for everyday use and long-term investment.

Garage condos line parts of the circuit with track-fronting views, while the Entertainment Zone and Automotive Innovation Park add further activity across the site. Each element has been planned to feel connected rather than separate, helping create a destination with year-round appeal.
