Derek is a Chartered Building Services Engineer with almost 30 years’ consultancy experience. He has worked across the full project lifecycle, delivering building services design and engineering on a wide range of projects in the arts, leisure, retail, commercial, residential and higher education sectors.

Derek has worked on a wide range of complex and innovative projects, supporting clients on some of their most ambitious schemes.

He has also led interdisciplinary teams on major new build and regeneration projects across the UK. As a member of the British Council for Offices, Derek regularly takes part in regional industry events, helping him stay at the forefront of workspace design and best practice.

Derek has a particular interest in affordable low-energy architecture and integrated energy solutions. As a former BREEAM AP, he has guided many projects towards sustainable, well-balanced outcomes that work for both clients and end users.
