Ian joined Ridge in May 2006, and has been with the firm for 20 years. With a background spanning building surveying, clerk of works and health & safety, he brings an eclectic and well-rounded knowledge of construction methodology and design processes across residential, commercial, healthcare, leisure and education sectors. He specialises in principal designer and CDM advisor duties, and following the building safety act 2022, has embraced the building regulations principal designer role, drawing on his combined surveying and health and safety expertise to ensure client compliance. Notable projects include Angel Gardens, Circle Square and Wirral Waters. He sits on the Ridge BSA steering group and holds the CMapS accreditation.
