James is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) with more than 20 years’ experience in the construction industry. He works with clients from the earliest stages of a project, advising on feasibility, procurement, cost planning, cost management and contract administration for new build and refurbishment schemes.

He is interested in heritage buildings, helping clients manage costs and risk when refurbishing and adapting existing properties. He combines technical rigour with a practical understanding of the challenges that come with working in historically sensitive and complex environments.

James also provides cost management services under both JCT and NEC contracts, working across education, local government and healthcare frameworks. Clients appreciate James’s measured approach, clear advice and ability to help them make confident decisions throughout the lifecycle of a project.
