James is an Associate Partner and chartered building surveyor (MRICS) with extensive experience delivering complex refurbishment, new-build and alteration projects across defence, security, public sector and international government estates. He specialises in NEC and JCT project management, risk management and technical building surveying, leading multidisciplinary teams across sensitive and secure environments. Acting as project lead, employer's agent and NEC project & risk manager, his work spans feasibility, design, contract administration, technical due diligence and defect analysis. His international portfolio includes the Karachi High Commission seismic remedial works and British Embassy Lisbon refurbishment, both delivered under NEC contract for the FCDO. UK-based highlights include MOD single living accommodation across two sites, QinetiQ specialist facilities and a major roof replacement programme for the UK atomic energy authority. James brings a calm, structured and risk-aware approach, combining technical rigour with clear communication and collaborative leadership. He holds security-cleared capability enabling rapid mobilisation for overseas assignments and serves as deputy security controller at Ridge.
