James is a sustainability specialist with more than 12 years’ experience helping clients achieve their sustainability goals. His work spans sustainability certification, including BREEAM, as well as Net Zero and embodied carbon consultancy.

Based in our Manchester office, James leads on embodied carbon analysis, working closely with design teams from the earliest stages of a project. His focus is on reducing carbon wherever possible, encouraging the use of lower-carbon materials and helping projects achieve Net Zero outcomes.

He brings broad experience across sustainability strategy, policy requirements and an increasingly complex regulatory landscape. Clients value his practical approach and ability to turn technical sustainability goals into clear, achievable actions.

James is known for working collaboratively with clients and design teams, helping them navigate sustainability challenges with confidence. He is a licensed BREEAM Assessor and Accredited Professional (AP), and was a contributor to the UK Net Zero Carbon Building Standard through a sector working group.
