John is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Association for Project Management (APM) and was part of the first cohort of project managers to achieve chartered status. He brings more than 25 years’ experience managing and controlling portfolios, programmes and major projects across the construction and infrastructure sector.

John is known for combining his industry experience with academic research. His early work at the Universities of Cambridge and Loughborough focuses on adapting production principles for application in the iterative pre-construction process.

He has written more than 30 journal papers, conference papers and book contributions, and is a regular speaker at conferences and industry events worldwide.
