Michael Wood

Michael is a Chartered Surveying Professional with more than 20 years of experience in utility mapping and land surveying. He specialises in below-ground surveys, helping clients understand exactly what is beneath a site before construction begins. His work covers the rail, highways, energy, water, healthcare and aviation sectors, where accuracy and clear information are critical to successful project delivery.

Over the course of his career, Michael has led major programmes for organisations including the NHS, National Highways and Network Rail. He also co-founded and directed a surveying company, playing a key role in shaping its services, operations and long-term direction.

Michael is also passionate about the future of the profession. He is committed to raising standards, sharing knowledge and supporting the next generation of surveyors through mentoring and professional development.
He is a Fellow, elected Council Member and Trustee of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES), and also serves as an examiner for the institution.
