Peter Daniels

Peter is an experienced mechanical building services engineer with over 40 years’ expertise across multiple sectors, currently leading residential and purpose-built student accommodation projects at Ridge.

His landmark project experience includes working on the design for Viadux Phase 2, set to become the tallest residential tower in the UK outside London. A specialist in complex leisure and heritage schemes, Peter has designed more than 20 swimming pools and leisure centres, including the Southport Aqua Dome. Notably, he designed the mechanical infrastructure for the conversion of the Grade I listed Buxton Crescent into a luxury hotel and spa, successfully using natural underground springs.

Committed to sustainable building performance, Peter focuses on reducing energy demand from day one. By collaborating early with project teams, he embeds passive design strategies such as optimal building orientation, high-performance fabric, solar shading, and natural daylight into every scheme. The result is practical, energy-efficient spaces that benefit clients and the people who use the buildings.
