Phil is a client-focused leader with nearly 30 years’ industry experience, including more than 25 years at Ridge. As a partner and head of our Reading project management team, he has worked across heritage and conservation, retail, education, commercial, residential, infrastructure, telecommunications and public sector developments.

As a Chartered Building Surveyor, Phil pairs deep technical ability with extensive experience acting as project manager, contract administrator, employer's agent, and client representative. He successfully directs major schemes valued up to £150 million and is an expert in JCT and NEC contracts.

Highly regarded for his practical mindset and in-depth commercial understanding, Phil is skilled at building enduring, trust-based relationships. He adapts his style to the needs of each project, guiding clients through complex commercial decisions. This has made him a highly sought-after advisor across a diverse range of asset types and procurement routes.
