Richard Holloway

Richard is a Chartered Environmentalist and Chartered Water Environment Manager with an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering. With 28 years’ experience as a ground investigation consultant, he works with public and private clients across a range of projects and sectors.

Throughout his career, Richard has managed environmental land teams to help clients spot a site's potential and its drawbacks before building starts. His ground investigation reports give clients exactly what they need to buy land confidently, clear council planning hurdles and deal with contaminated ground safely.

Richard's approach is thorough, practical and cost-effective. He is particularly skilled in earthworks and waste classification, and is a Qualified Person (QP) under the CL:AIRE Definition of Waste Code of Practice. This allows suitable excavated soils to be reused between sites outside the standard waste legislation process, helping clients manage materials more efficiently.
