Ajai Paul is a Senior Urban Designer at Ridge and Partners LLP, where he specializes in masterplanning and strategic urban design across the South and Home Counties. Based in the Reading office, his project portfolio spans major regeneration schemes, greenfield strategic land projects, and high-value land promotions. Ajai’s approach integrates site-specific cultural and physical contexts to develop robust masterplanning frameworks and sustainable design proposals. Managing developments throughout their lifecycle, he conducts initial feasibility studies and layout optimization assessments to maximize site potential. He is responsible for authoring critical technical project documentation including feasibility reports and design and access statements and preparing frameworks for both outline and detailed planning applications. Additionally, Ajai leads technical communication with clients and project stakeholders and provides expert design reviews.

Prior to joining Ridge and Partners LLP, Ajai was an Urban Designer at Broadway Malyan, where he focused on UK and international regeneration schemes, strategic developments, Garden Villages, and greenfield sites. His international experience includes masterplanning and architectural design roles at Mayson's Infra in Bangalore, India, and Uneven Designs in Vadodara, India.

Ajai holds a Master of Arts in Architecture and Urbanism (with Distinction) from the Manchester School of Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from Mahatma Gandhi University.
