Circuito de Navarra in Spain set out to modernise the circuit and create a faster, more rewarding experience for drivers and riders alike.

The challenge was improving safety and performance while respecting the character of an established international venue.

Redesigning the circuit experience

The redevelopment needed to resolve long-standing surface issues while introducing a more dynamic and modern layout.

We provided civil engineering and race track design services, supporting the project from concept through to construction. Our team translated early layout ideas into detailed designs, using simulation to test configurations before work began on site.

The scheme included re-profiling Turn 6, creating a new banked hairpin and designing a high-speed sequence to improve flow and overtaking opportunities. New kerbs, barriers, run-off areas and drainage systems were also integrated throughout the circuit.

Using data to improve performance

Improving consistency across the track surface was central to the project. We analysed lidar and satellite data to identify defects and optimise resurfacing works, helping target repairs more accurately and improve asphalt performance across the circuit. Our team also provided on-site support during delivery to help maintain quality and resolve technical challenges quickly.

Delivering a stronger international circuit

The completed redevelopment has transformed the experience for competitors while helping secure the circuit’s future as a leading international venue.

Drivers and riders reported a clear improvement in grip, consistency and overall flow, creating a circuit that feels both faster and more connected from corner to corner.
